Who we are
Innovatus International Ltd (company number 13066723, registered in England and Wales), 31 Louisberg Road, Hemswell Cliff, Gainsborough, DN21 5XU, England. Trading as Bebek Customs. Email infobebekcustoms.com.
What we collect, and why
When you order: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number, the items ordered and the order value. The phone number is for the courier if they need to reach you about delivery. We need this to make the contract with you and to deliver the goods. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
When you pay: Stripe or PayPal takes the payment on its own secure page. Card numbers go directly to them and are never seen or stored by us. We receive a confirmation that payment succeeded, the amount, and the last four digits of the card.
When you sign in: we ask for your email address and send you a one time link, so there is no password for us to keep. We keep the address and the time you last signed in so you can see your orders. Lawful basis: performance of a contract, and our legitimate interest in keeping your orders private to you.
When you ask us to find a part: your email address, the part you are after and anything you tell us, kept until we have answered. Lawful basis: legitimate interests in answering enquiries.
When you write to us: your name, email address and whatever you put in the message, kept so we can answer and so we have a record of the exchange. Lawful basis: legitimate interests in answering enquiries.
When you use the free radio code lookup: the five digits you enter and the network address your request came from, kept briefly so the service cannot be used to collect every code. Lawful basis: legitimate interests in protecting the service.
We do not ask for and do not want any special category data. We do not use your data for automated decision making or profiling, and we do not sell it. We do not send marketing email to people who have not asked for it.
If you bought from our old website
Before this site, we sold through an earlier website. We have kept your order records from it, for the reasons and the length of time below, so that you can see them when you sign in here. We have not carried over passwords, and we have not signed you up to anything.
Cookies and visitor statistics
The shop itself keeps only what it needs to work. Your basket is stored in your own browser and nothing in it reaches us until you check out. When you sign in, a cookie keeps you signed in until you close your browser or sign out.
If you press Accept on the cookie notice, we also use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. They set cookies that count visits, show which pages and searches are used, and how far people get through a purchase. Clarity records how the pages are used as heat maps and recordings, with anything typed into forms hidden. Your IP address is shortened before Google stores it. Lawful basis: your consent.
Nothing from Google or Microsoft loads, and no such cookie is set, until you accept. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. We do not use advertising cookies. Stripe's and PayPal's pages are their own sites and use cookies to prevent fraud, under their own privacy policies.
Who we share it with
Stripe and PayPal, our payment providers, to take payment, prevent fraud and handle refunds and chargebacks.
Couriers and postal services, including Parcel2Go, who receive your name, address and contact details in order to deliver.
Our hosting and email provider, IONOS, which stores this site's data and carries order confirmations and correspondence.
Google and Microsoft, only if you accept the cookie notice, for visitor statistics as described above.
HM Revenue and Customs, and customs authorities in the destination country, where the law requires it for tax or import purposes.
We do not share your data with anyone else, and we never sell or rent it.
Sending data outside the UK
We ship to many countries, so delivery details necessarily reach the postal or customs service of the destination. Some of our suppliers process data outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards permitted by UK data protection law, such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Order and transaction records: six years after the end of the tax year they fall in, which is what HMRC requires.
Email correspondence and part enquiries: three years, then deleted.
Radio code lookup records: a few weeks.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of your data, to have it corrected, to have it erased where we no longer need it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. To use any of these, email infobebekcustoms.com. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would like the chance to put it right first.
